The Company

Since our inception in 1977, Sudberry Southern has been proudly manufacturing both custom architectural millwork and residential kitchen & bath cabinetry of the highest quality. Operating out of our two facilities in Nashville, TN and Huntsville, AL, our expert craftsmen and the rest of our operations team carefully fabricate our products to the exact design and specifications our clients’ request, with total control over both quality and schedule. Everything from prototypes to completed projects is overseen by our experienced team of estimators, draftsmen, project managers, and a talented group of production experts, and our clientele includes many prominent general contractors, homebuilders, architects, and developers. Over the past 47 years, that winning combination has paved the way for Sudberry to develop a reputation as one of the finest producers of custom woodworking in Middle Tennessee and throughout the southeast.

Now doing business as Sudberry Southern, the companywas originally foundedin the summer of 1977, when Buford Sudberry and Burch Anderson, Jr. consolidated their capital and chartered Sudberry Millwork, Inc. in the exact same location we are still headquartered today. Buford Sudberry had more than 20 years prior experience manufacturingarchitectural millwork, and Burch Anderson, Jr. had been in the cabinetry business for more than 20 years; together, they formed the perfect combination to fill a void providing a much-needed service in the marketspace.

For the next four-and-half decades, Sudberry saw periods of both rapid and sustained growth, developing and cultivating several long-lasting relationships with many partners and clients in the area. More recently, in October 2022, company president Tracy Green and the “Sudberry Family” allowed Brayden Coombs to acquire this special “gem” of a millwork company, which he then rebranded as “Sudberry Southern.”

Under current ownership, we’ve experienced targeted growth by increasing efficiency & production capacity via further investment in people, automation, and technology. However, the commitment to Mr. Sudberry’s original promise remains the same – maintaining a “high touch” level of customer service to deliver a quality product at a fair price and on time, all while pouring back into the Nashville community.

We pride ourselves on the quantity and quality of our satisfied customers. We feel that we are respected within the construction industry and among our peers as the “can do” woodworking firm, that builds the product to the exact specifications and expectations of the end customer.

Our headquarters in Nashville, TN and our branch in Huntsville, AL consist of approximately 34,000 square feet of production area and over 30 craftsmen and installers, utilizing state of the art CNC machines and other fabrication tools & equipment. We also have an experienced CAD / design department using the latest software and technology, as well as a high-quality in-house finishing department to address custom painting and staining.

Collectively, our present Sudberry team boasts over 300 years of industry experience. From the estimation and bid process to drafting / architectural design to manufacturing, finishing, installation, and customer sign-off, we provide a personalized touch to the end customer solution.
